ROUSSILLON BARRACKS, CHICHESTER

A plan from about 1919

WHAT USED TO BE, THE ORIGINAL REGIMENTAL DEPOT OF THE

ROYAL SUSSEX REGIMENT. - 35th of Foot, FOR MANY DECADES.

UPDATE 2022 - The Asylum is now demolished. - In it`s place is "Graylingwell" Residential                                   Village. -- Roussillon Barracks is also demolished except for the Keep & the                                 perimeter wall of  Sussex  flint. -- In it`s place is the "Roussillon" Residential                               Housing Estate. -- So the French connection to our Regiment lives on, even                                 today, within the name of this modern estate ! - the bat
