STOP PRESS - Libya’s Red Crescent spokesman Tawfiq al-Shukri says, there are 2,084 people confirmed dead and 9,000 registered missing, as well as 20,000 people displaced. - Both the Dams, that hold the rainwater from the mountains, have broken. - The large capital city of Libya East, Derna is 40% destroyed by flooding & partly under water or mud.
06:00 CNN - More than 5,000 people are presumed dead and 10,000 missing after heavy rains in northeastern Libya caused two dams to collapse, surging more water into already inundated areas.

FOR THE LATE COL. KNOCKER
A Thanksgiving Service for Col Knocker will be held on Tuesday 14th March
at 2.30 pm at the Church of the Holy Cross, Seend, Melksham, SN12 6NX.
Please notify us at saf.business@dudwell.co.uk, if you are planning to attend so that we can advise family about numbers & Catering.
Parking near the church is very restricted and should not be used. Please use the parking area at the Community Centre (Rusty Lane, Seend, SN12 6NS) which is a
5 minute walk away and where the Wake will be held after the service.
Any overflow parking will be on the neighbouring village playing field next to the Community Centre.
Note: the Church’s postcode is not exact. From Seend High Street the turning to the Church is just west of and opposite to Rusty Lane.
There is only one church in Seend -- (but don’t be confused by See-end Chapel at the very west end of the village, which is similar ! )
Alternative transport by train is not advised, as the nearest stations is Melksham - 10 mins drive away (but has a very limited service to Swindon), Chippenham
